From here we are only a few minutes  walk over 2000 acres of forestry commission woodland and nature reserve. The trails pass amongst tall pines growing in what were once sand  dunes and provide a haven for all sorts of animals, plants and some  rare botanical specimens and 35 species of butterfly.  From horse back it is not unusual for small animals such as squirrels  to completely ignore you and birds are often more likely to be seen  (if you are quiet!). Foxes also roam the area and have been sited  very close to the riding trails by our clients.  To ensure you have the best ride possible we may ask that you have  a riding assessment before going out on a trek. This way we can  give you any riding pointers needed or provide you with a leader if  necessary.  We offer horse treks of various lengths and can tailor them to any ability:  Pony ride ( child or adult )  1/2 hour trek  1 hour trek  Longer treks by prior arrangement with the Riding Centre Beach rides can also be arranged but are for experienced riders only Find us on Facebook
